Over 44 years ago, Don Filippo’s opened its doors on the Upper East Side. The small storefront on Lexington Avenue is still deceptive of the herculean activity inside. By day, the busy takeout counter whirls with the language of New York City convenience, but those who stop in for dinner find an understated gem. Tables in the back of the small restaurant open for languorous meals conceived by Phil, ¨Filippo¨Arcara.

Nestled in the heart of New York City's vibrant Upper East Side, Don Filippo Restaurant has been a beacon of Italian culinary delight since its establishment in 1972. Originally a family-owned business founded in Brooklyn, this gastronomic gem moved to its current location, where it has thrived and grown, becoming a beloved part of the community. Their unique offering, the garlic knot chicken parm minis, have become a neighborhood legend. Affordable and delicious, these delicacies are often hailed as the best bite for your buck on the Upper East Side. Yet, the menu doesn't stop there. From freshly baked pizzas, delightful paninis, mouth-watering baked ziti, to their heavenly cannoli, Don Filippo offers a wide range of authentic Italian dishes that cater to all tastes.
